| Jens Rausch / Satt III A still life in transition Jens Rausch exhibited the poster campaign Satt II (Full II) on the billboard of the Projekthaus in Hamburg from August 1st through October 4th 2014. In place of the usual billboard advertising, passers-by were confronted with a painting of a giant raw chicken. Set against a muted blue-green background, the chicken lay, already half unpacked from its glossy plastic wrapping, in a yellow bowl, seemingly too small for its contents. Over the two months of the exhibition, Rausch worked on the surface of the 3x4 meter poster at regular intervals. Making use of fire as a brush, he burnt the poster’s surface until it became ash. Like mould, the gray ash overtook more and more of the image until it was completely covered. By presenting his work on a billboard, Rausch brought painting into the public space, in doing so he making the street an artistic space.
